FAQ

Is it normal to feel nervous before a session?

Yes. This is a very common feeling people have before therapy. Feel free to bring this up with me in session.

Is there anything I need to bring to session with me?

With teletherapy, all you need is a phone/tablet/computer, reliable internet, and a safe, quiet place. Some clients like to have a notebook nearby if they want to take notes during the session.

How long are sessions?

45 minutes

How much does one session cost?

$120

Do you take insurance?

Yes. I take the following insurance:

  • Cigna
  • Aetna
  • United Healthcare
  • Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Oxford
  • Oscar Health

If you don’t see your insurance listed, I can also provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

What if I have to cancel a session?

Totally understandable! Please let me know at least 24 hours before our session. I know life happens and things come up at inconvenient times, please let me know if you are cancelling as soon as you can. Refer to the practice policies for more information about cancellation fees.

What is Headway?

If you’re using your insurance to pay for sessions, you will input your information into Headway.

What is Simple Practice?

This is a platform I use for scheduling and payment. This is also where our teletherapy sessions will be through.

I’m not sure Nora is a good fit for me, what do I do?

Just let me know! Every therapist isn’t for everyone. I want you to get the most out of therapy that you can. If that’s not with me, I am totally ok with that. I will not take offense to it!

I keep hearing a dog barking during my sessions… what is this?

That is probably my dog, Chase. I do teletherapy sessions from my home. Chase likes to let me know when there are people walking by outside the house.
